My Power in Poetry Story
I am a poet, in case you didn’t know it, and POWER IN POETRY is the title of my first book. Here, I want to point you in the right direction to learn all about my book. I will be brief and tell you a quick story about why it is important to get this book and share my poetry with others, not only from my book but from the list of poems from the website and even those that I have not published yet.
I was never formally trained to write poetry by anyone. Poetry is a gift that the creator gave me. As I started writing poetry and sharing it with family and friends, I received a lot of praise for a job well done. I had become somewhat accustomed to family and friends saying you did a great job! Awesome poem!

On one particular evening, a friend called me, somewhat late at night. I knew the friend was going through some challenges and when I heard who it was, I asked: “How are you doing?” They responded: “I am doing okay”. We talked for a while and just before ending the conversation, I asked again: “Really, how are you doing?” At that point they said, “I’m really having a rough time trying to make it (something to that effect)”.
I had just finished writing a poem entitled “LET YOUR DISCOURAGE BE YOUR ENCOURAGE”. I told them that I had not read the poem to anyone else in the world and if they would like to hear it, I would read it to them.
I read the poem and as usual, I received the praise and accolades that it was a very good poem. I thought nothing of it except, it was more of the same of how friends responded. A couple of days later, I received a phone call from that friend and was told: the day they called me they had planned to call someone else. “After talking with you and you read that poem to me, it was so incredible! You didn’t know, at that time, I had already planned to end my life that night.
After hearing your poem, it touched me so deeply, I could not do it.” When my friend told me that, it totally took my poetry to a whole new level of thinking! I began to think and wonder: what is the creator doing with me and my poetry.
Now, when I send people to my poetry site, it is not always for you to be strengthened but for someone that you might know. Most of us know somebody now, or will know someone in the future that is going through something in their life. You never know what they might be thinking of doing and the words of my poems are all inspirational.
I only write inspirational and positive poetry. They are all designed to lift someone up and strengthen them. I encourage you to go to access my poems and pricing list, and think of someone that is dear to you, who may be dealing with a challenge, then find the poem that will speak to or administer to that person.
